Spotify App Forum

Check out an example of this being used:

And then, my phone (LG Fiesta 2) doesn't have an EQ, and Spotify sounds terrible without one, so I had to install a 3rd pary EQ, which seems to work well with Spotify on the Android 7.0 phone. My biggest gripe about the Spotify Windows app is its lack of organizing features. I have been ticking songs as 'like', but eventually end up with dupes.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you have the Spotify Desktop App on your PC you can get the URI to use with the Browse URL action right away:
Basically, you can skip to step 3! Just add
:play
at the end of the Spotify URI to start playing it automatically!
This works for playlists, but also for Albums and possibly other types of URIs!

  • Create a new task called Play Spotify Playlist From Share
  • Add a variable set action where you set %par1 to a playlist link you get from the Android Spotify app when you go into a playlist > Menu > Share > Copy Link
  • Add an If condition to that action, making it only set if %par1 is not already set
Setting %par1 manually like this will make it easier to test the task without having to create an additional task just for testing purposes

Spotify App For Mp3 Player

  • Add an AutoTools Regex action
  • Set the Text field to %par1 (which contains the Spotify URL)
  • Set the Regex field to /user/(?<userid>.+?)/playlist/(?<playlistid>.+?)?
  • Accept and go back to Tasker
This regex will get the user id and playlist id from the URL and create Tasker variables with those values

Forum
  • Add a Browse URL action
  • Use the following URL:
    spotify:user:%userid:playlist:%playlistid:play
  • Make sure to add the play at the end there, so that the playlist starts playing and doesn't just open

  • To call this from another Task simply use the Perform Task action and set Parameter 1 to the Spotify URL you got from the app

It seems that Spotify doesn't start playing automatically if the screen is off, so if you want to ensure that it does, use the Turn On action at the start of the task
If you want to send the playlist remotely like in the demo video you could use a profile to receive a share and send the link to another device with Join. Click here to import a profile like that. Make sure to edit the condition with an AutoShare command you want, and edit the task to send the command to the device you want.
Long awaited: Tired of lugging around your clunky iPhone to listen to music on a jog or while exercising? Relief is here. The watchOS Spotify app is finally getting standalone playback. The beta feature will begin a slow rollout to Apple Watches starting today.

Spotify App For My Computer

On Wednesday, Spotify announced that it is rolling out standalone streaming on the Apple Watch. Now users can listen to music or podcasts straight from their wrist without being tethered to their phone. With Siri voice control, which it introduced back in April, it should be easy and convenient to operate the app while exercising.

There are a few requirements to use the feature. Of course, since you won't be relying on your phone, the watch must have access to a stable WiFi or cellular signal. You also need a set of Bluetooth headphones paired with your Apple Watch.

While the Spotify watchOS app does work on all generations of Apple Watch, standalone playback is only available on Series 3 or later. You will also need to be updated to at least watchOS 6.0. However, Spotify recommends watchOS 7.1+ to enjoy full functionality.

Untethered playback has been a highly requested feature for quite some time, but Spotify only recently took up the challenge. 9to5Mac notes that the company first started testing it back in September with just a handful of users.

Even though standalone streaming is now available to a broader swath of users, it still in beta, so Spotify has it on a slow rollout. If you are not lucky enough to have the update yet, be patient.
